"Goodwill bins (I call it The Dump) are my favorite place on earth. I can spend hours digging for treasures and singing along with their (usually) good music choices. I lived in Portland for over 20 years and visited all The Dumps in the area all the time. Reselling and The Dump have become the norm in PDX and Goodwill has raised their prices to absolutely ridiculous numbers there. The stores there are jammed with a thousand people and their camp chairs waiting for the next rotation. I am now living between Pasco and Portland - Pasco Dump will be my go to when I have the urge to dig. Prices are WAY better and it is way less annoying than all The Dumps in the Portland area. I love it here!"
"Visited this outlet 2 times in the last week. The first time was a good treasure hunt which made me want to go back agaiN while the second tipped the scale on safety. I don’t mind that it was extremely slow for the turnover of bins considering I only saw one person pushing them in and out. My concern is how the bins were filled compared to the previous visit and my visits to the outlets in Portland and Spokane. Glass, books, clothes, electronics and bric a brack were not separated in the least. Every bin that i explored was full of broken glass! There was NO attempt on removing breakable items from the bins and i am extremely glad that nobody got hurt during the time i was there. More attention and separation should be accomplished before a child ends up cutting there hand open in the bin they see toys in. Highly recommend looking at how items are separated at other Goodwill Outlets such as Portland."
"This place is a really good place to get a lot of stuff for cheap because they make you pay by the pound not by the item so what they do is they let you fill up your cart and then take it to a scale and then they just weigh it and you pay by the pound and it's fantastic The prices are absolutely great. Although upon arriving you're going to notice that you ain't going to be able to find no five star accommodations It is a little bit more on the lower end of the scale of society but it's still a great place to go. And the employees are super cool which creates a enjoyable environment."
"At one time everything was dumped into large tubs and wheeled out for everyone to dig through. Broken glass was abundant and so were people cutting their hands and bleeding. They since changed the method a bit and its better. Honestly though, if you're selling stuff by the pound, you're getting WAY TOO MANY donations. Goodwill is a monopoly in the Tri Cities. I'd rather see the excess donations given to other local Thrift/Second Hand stores that benefit the community vs selling stuff by the pound."
