"Pricing is wild for donated items. This is a trend at all goodwills it seems, and this location is no exception. Dollar store items priced at or above the original cost. Clearance Target items at basically the same as in-store. This is no longer a “thrift” store. I won’t be donating anything here either. I’m sure there will be some response about how much they give back to community programs… I’ve seen your new stores that look like fancy boutiques, and the goodwill payroll. There’s plenty of profit going through there…."

"I want to take a moment to recognize Pilar at the San Mateo Goodwill in Albuquerque. Pilar is a young man who has overcome significant challenges in life, including time in prison, and has worked hard to rebuild himself. Goodwill gave him an opportunity to get back on the right path, and he has truly made the most of it. Every time I visit the store, Pilar greets me with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine smile that brightens my day. He is personable, respectful, and always goes above and beyond to make customers feel welcome. In fact, I find myself hoping he’s working whenever I walk in the door, because he never fails to lift my spirits and even make me laugh. It is disheartening to hear that he will no longer be at this location.Neither will I. Goodwill, as an organization, is built on the belief in second chances and in helping people rise above their past to create better futures. Pilar is the perfect example of that mission in action. To see someone like him overlooked or held back due to bias is extremely disappointing—not only for him, but also for loyal customers like myself. I sincerely hope that Pilar continues to find success, whether within Goodwill or beyond. He speaks highly of the company and truly values his role, and that dedication deserves to be recognized. He has inspired me personally, both as a customer and as a writer. Goodwill should be proud to have someone of Pilar’s caliber on their team. I encourage upper management to take a closer look at how they support and promote individuals like him, because people like Pilar are the reason customers remain loyal."

"This place has really gone down hill I would come here every week to find good items it has been awhile I was sick but this store was not up to par I remember when the store manager was a young man Anthony and I believe Johnny were in charge this was a great store my big suggestion would be bring them back please get this store back to its glory before you loose a lot of us there is nothing worth buying and the staff is not very friendly please get it together these last few weeks have been the worst I've seen this place in a long time and I've shopped here for plenty of years!!!!"

"Ive been shopping there since May 24. Moved in to an apartment with only a bed, 2 side tables, Let the hunt begin. FF to today, The photos shown are of items purchased by me at THIS store! Selection coupled with an Engaged, Knowledgeable, and Professional Team has ensured my return. Actual cost of item pictured; First 3, Everything pictured. Cost nothing over $12. average $4- 6.00 Desk, file cabinet, bookshelf, All solid Mahogany, all 3 pieces total 80.00. Dining room table /chairs, $45. Solid Mahogany. All art work, baskets lamps, vases, nothing over $8.45 No I did not walk in and everything was sitting there ready to be purchased, it took 5monthsof shopping there to accomplish the mission, stopping by 3-5 times a week, sometimes leaving with nothing other days I rented a U-Haul P/U. Paid off though in the end and Im happy, guest are shocked at where and how little I paid. That's all good but, the biggest reason I continued going to THAT store. PEOPLE! Extremely Well Engaged, Professional, Knowledgeable ,Staff that functions as a TEAM, is a direct reflection of Leadership. In this case SM Anthony. Well done Sir, well done indeed.
